WELCOME TO FÆNGSLET SLEEPIN
A night behind bars becomes a reality at SleepIn FÆNGSLET.
SleepIn is an unforgettable overnight stay with plenty of food for thought.
The hostel is situated in the prison’s old sick ward. The building has been carefully renovated in order to fulfill the requirements for housing our new “voluntary” overnight guests. However, the authenticity has not been compromised. One example is the old radio in the cells that has been preserved in working condition and the graffiti by former inhabitants that still covers the cell walls.
A night at SleepIn will not only take you back to the prison past – it will crawl under your skin.
The hostel has 55 beds in 22 rooms, each one accommodating 1-4 pers. Showers and toilets are located in the halls. SleepIn FÆNGSLET has wheelchair access, 2+2 pers. wheelchair-friendly rooms and toilet and showering facilities for disabled.
SleepIn accommodates the common museum guest as well as our visiting conference attendees and school classes on field trips. The hostel is considered a socioeconomic business and profits are channeled into other activities and happenings at FÆNGSLET.
Check-in and payment take place at our reception between 2-4pm (5pm in high season). If it isn't possible to show up during this time you can make an appointment by contacting us during opening hours on tel. +45 7610 0011 or on sleepin@faengslet.dk. The reception is in the front building.
Check-out is at 10:00 a.m.
When you stay at SleepIn you're more than welcome to use our cozy kitchen with a stove, microwave oven, pots, pans and plates and cutlery for up to 12 people.
On the first floor you'll find a nice hang out spot with sofas and chairs and a limited number of books and board games.

Breakfast is not included but you can book breakfast at our café, Brasseriet FÆNGSLET, or order a breakfast to be enjoyed at SleepIn when you book the room or by contacting the reception at +4576100011 or sleepin@faengslet.dk.
